Founded in 1700, the Gloria Dei Church is one of the oldest Swedish churches in the country. A National Historic Site, it features a tall steeple, a scenic cemetery, and other fine examples of 17th-century Swedish church craftsmanship. It lies in the heart of Philadelphia, just east of Jefferson Square.
